Virginia M. Pittarelli

Virginia Pittarelli is an acting principal of Crown Retail Services, an affiliate of Crown Acquisitions. Ms. Pittarelli holds an impressive background in retail real estate, boasting over 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Crown Retail Services, she was a principal and chief operating officer of Madison Retail Group, based in New York City.

Known for her expertise, integrity and know-how, Ms. Pittarelli’s primary focus is national tenant representation. She specializes in the development of strategic store expansion programs on a local, regional and national level. Forward thinking and tactical, Ms. Pittarelli has successfully spearheaded the multi-market strategic planning for several high profile national and international companies. She offers her clients the highest quality service incorporating her extensive knowledge of the full retail landscape while providing her clients a path to maximize revenues to result in optimum profitability across their store network.

Her clients include distinguished quality retailers such as Sephora, Coach, Kate Spade, Stuart Weitzman, Pronovias , Godiva , Lip Lab and Vitamin Shoppe to name a few. Her client list also expands across a number of national and international retailers to include Acqua di Parma, Brown Jordan, Club Monaco, Diesel, Hackett, Jill Sander, Kenneth Cole, Nordstrom Rack, Rapha, Sarah Pacini, The Body Shop and The Swatch Group.

In addition, Ms. Pittarelli has extensive agency experience and has represented prominent New York landlords such as Silverstein Properties, Brookfield Properties, Jones Lang LaSalle, Kensico Properties, J.P. Morgan, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Rockfeld Group, Howard Hughes Corporation and a variety of specialty retail spaces under private ownership.

Ms. Pittarelli’s consulting assignments included the redevelopment strategy for the South Street Seaport with the Howard Hughes Corporation as well as consulting for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation with respect to the future of downtown retail. On the international front, she acted as a strategic alliance partner for ING’s European Retail Platform to bring US retailers to Western Europe.

She has served as Senior Vice President of Trammell Crow Company and Director of its Retail Group in New York City. Ms. Pittarelli began her career at Citibank, N.A. where she last served as a Vice President responsible for over three million square feet of commercial real estate. She is a graduate of Brooklyn College and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York and Connecticut. She is a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), The Fashion Group International, The Accessories Council , Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Stores Committee, and The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

 

Stephen J. Stephanou

Stephen J. Stephanou is a principal of Crown Retail Services, an affiliate of Crown Acquisitions. Crown Retail Services is a New York City based national retail real estate consulting and brokerage firm. Over the course of his professional career, he has had extensive experience in tenant and landlord representation, contract negotiations, and shopping center and mixed use development in key retail markets within the US.

Stephen has represented international retailers in developing strategies and finding locations, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Faconnable, Jil Sander, Sabo, and Breuer. He has worked on the high-street expansion program  for Kate Spade and Jack Spade, including stores in Boston, New York, and Georgetown. Currently, Stephen is one of the co-heads of the team which has developed and executed the real estate roll-out for British retailer Jack Wills, which has entered the US with fourteen stores in the past two years. In addition, he spearheaded the strategic alliance with ING’s European Retail Platform, with the goal of bringing US retailers to ING shopping center properties in Western Europe.

Currently, Stephen has been developing and executing a multi-borough New York City strategy for Nordstrom Rack, which opened its first store in Union Square. Other active clients include Eileen Fisher, The Body Shop, and Brazilian based Chilli Beans, for both high-street and shopping center locations, both locally and nationally.

Recent assignments have included tenants such as, Peek, Glassybaby, Scotch & Soda, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. In the past, he has also represented Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand Jeans, Cole Haan, Coach, Tiffany & Co., Brooks Brothers, and Hastens, to name a few.

On the agency side, Stephen has represented and leased retail properties on behalf of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments and Madison Marquette in Texas and California; Equitable Life Insurance in San Diego; Morgan Stanley, Brookfield Properties, Jones Lang LaSalle, Marriott Hotels, and Walton Street Capital in New York; DRA Advisors in Pennsylvania, as well as private owners, including Crown Acquisitions.

Prior to entering consulting and brokerage, Stephen was Senior Vice President of Retail Development for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. (previously The Yarmouth Group). He began his career as an attorney in Los Angeles, later joining Federated Department Stores as in-house counsel. He was subsequently Group Vice President of Real Estate, for Macy’s.

He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York, an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Retail Stores Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Stephen graduated with honors from UCLA and received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Los Angeles, where he was a member of the Law Review.

Nolan Burke

Nolan Burke is a tenant leasing representative and consultant at Crown Retail Services. He has extensive experience representing tenants in leases for both “high street” and shopping center locations across the country. He has consulted on portfolio strategy and disposition for a variety of tenants, including Godiva Chocolatier, as well as in the industrial/third-party logistics sector for Rose Cay Capital in joint venture with Transwestern. He is a member of the team working with Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom Local in New York City, and is currently overseeing the regional expansion of Tartinery. 

 

Prior to joining Crown Retail Services and his career in real estate, Nolan had a career as a 5th and 6th grade lead teacher at Hunter College Elementary School in New York City, one of the nation’s premier gifted & talented programs. He also appeared in regional and Off-Broadway theatre, and is a member of Actor’s Equity.

 

In addition to his professional life, Nolan is a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) where he is pursuing a Master of Science in Data Analytics. He holds a B.A. from Hunter College CUNY in Psychology with a dual focus in Biopsychology and Child Development. He has taken additional coursework at both Columbia University and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).

 

Nolan is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York, and an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
